Week 9

I took a picture of these fish because during these first few months of school i've been working on an on-going ecosystem project where i have to seal a tank with fish in it and make them survive without food until june.

Here are some pictures of the field covered in frost. This was the first day of the school year so far with frost, represents the coming of winter. I thought it was cool because you can see all the footprints walking across the field.

Unit One Summative

a. The images I used can be both indexical and iconic. An example of an iconic image in my piece could be the polar bear. When we see this image we associate it with the arctic and potentially the melting ice issue. An example of indexical is the image of the vast expanse of ocean on the top right corner. When we see the image we don’t immediately know its water, there is nothing telling us exactly what it is but we can put the facts together in out head and realize that is an ocean freckled with coral reefs.
b. I think a very important part of my piece is the fact that it is all blended together; you cannot see where one image ends and another one starts. I also made everything outside of the picture in a picture one color, which also helps to blend it all together. I think that this represents how nature is all connected, the entire earth works together to create a living working masterpiece.

Week 3

A picture of the granite club gym from crescents field. I took this picture because at least 3 mornings of the week I would bike to the gym in the morning with a buddy and work out. Another addition to the new year...

This is a picture of the bike racks at Crescent School. Starting this week I started biking to school at least 3 times a week.

This is a picture of my uniform, I took it because it represents going back to school and getting back down to work after an amazing summer.

This is a picture of my locker number, this represents a place that I am going to be spending alot of time around in the next year. It also represents a new year; new number new year.
